“ASPECT” by unknown sound collective: andy, noa, greg etxe, mourning dove

Wow, this is really good music that I didn’t want to end. It’s largely longer form songs (the “short” ones clock in at a bit over 10 minutes) featuring lots of spoken work, city sounds, keyboards and lovely vocals (sometimes mixed in drone form, sometimes a single “tuneless” individual vocal). It’s all mixed into captivating soundscapes. I think your frame of mind might influence your reaction. I found it quite mesmerizing and transporting, taking me away to something of a dream. But I can hear where others might find it slightly scary, unsettling, or even troubling; maybe that’s the “aspect” of the title.

While the entire mix is interesting, the rhythmic elements caught my attention several times as it added such an interesting ingredient. A couple times there was some subtle free jazz style drumming (as on “DC”), industrial clang (“new york”) and even a little mechanical funk (on “west and abroad”). More please.
