Here’s a quick blast of punk energy from Narcholocos called “La Manisfestacion.” The “long song” at 1:38 is the opener “La Introduction” which is a bit of a mellowish, surfy instrumental, but buckle up kids cause it’s about to get rough. The remaining eight songs check in at +/- the one minute mark, each with lots of screamed vocals, fast guitar and distortion. “Hacer Una Red” made my computer so scared it shook. If I had to guess, I’d say it’s mixed live and is all the better for it.
Narcholocos are from Mexico, or maybe Indonesia…signals vary. But it’s latin hardcore; even if you don’t speak the language, you’ll get it. It’s released on Rizkan Records, which may have the best Twitter bio ever: “Hi! My name is Rizkan. I own a label named after myself. People told me I’m awesome and YES I AM!” You can get reasonably priced physical copies of their releases. I had to laugh when I noticed that all downloads seem to cost $666, so save up your pennies you little devils (or reach out to Rizkan – I suspect he’ll work out something reasonable to get you music).
