There are three recent singles I like by Painburn (Simone Simone Pignanelli). All of the songs are variations on a style that features some fuzzed out synth and good driving rhythms; it’s a really nice blend between experimental and accessible. Briefly, in reverse order of release:
“Assassin Beat” has rapid fire snare beats mixed with a bit of noisy synth. “Hollywood’s Hypnosis” features blasts of martial drum and is a bit more percussion driven. Overall it’s a little heavier with a more aggressive/industrial sound. “Ashes Jazz” includes those rapid fire snare beats again, but generally has a slightly fragmented rhythm mixed with scuzzy, creeping synth.

If the new tunes pique your interest about Painburn, they also have a Soundcloud page with a lot more tunes posted, some of it more song driven and some more experimental. They’ve been at it for years, so look around.
